The Christian school hired her knowing she had a history of hitting on teenage boys. I guess they figured Jesus forgave her and that was good enough.
The white slaves of the white Christian God are a law unto themselves.
All they have to do is repent then go ahead and do it again. Cycle of abuse is always forgiven when they repent. Outrageous isn't it.
Okay, the lady obviously has mental problems and shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near students after the first incident. Why she was I don't know. But to blame "white privilege" is going too far, isn't it?
Something went wrong, but he's assuming they knew about her past and ignored it because she's white, or didn't check her background carefully enough because she's white. Is that true? Maybe that person or those people responsible
just screwed up for some other, unrelated reason. It's possible. This commentator apparently sees white privilege EVERYWHERE and explains EVERYTHING. Maybe he's right, maybe not, but to just assume it is, I think, sometimes unfair. Then again, it IS a Christian school, so...
Her past was public knowledge and he didn't just say she got it because she was white, he said she got it because she was white AND Christian. It's a combination of the two. No person of color who has molested children has ever been given a 2nd chance around children and only Christians would be so naive as to believe that her faith somehow cured her enough to be around children.
@redbai So you're saying/suggesting they DID know of her prior transgressions, and chose to believe her Christian faith somehow guaranteed spotless future behavior?
Did you read or hear that some place, or are you making an assumption?
If THAT'S the case, it sounds typical of their deluded way of thinking. In a way it's sort of quaintly charming. Everyone deserves a second chance, after all, depending on the circumstances, and theoretically, if a person is truly sorry, it's possible he or she will "go, and not sin again." Specific to Christians, Jesus forgives sins and they all are "washed clean by the blood of the lamb," etc., etc.
Of course this is "magical thinking" and has nothing to do with reality, but try telling them that.
