Prominent evangelical Christian figures who previously supported former President Donald Trump have turned on him following his announcement that he's running for president again in 2024, HuffPost reported, citing several interviews in various media outlets.
Those religious fools have some sense after all. Better late than never, if it's true.
I think when they supported Trump in 2016 and 2020, it was all about winning. They abandoned ethics and values in favor of candidates who were likely to win. Now that Trump is no longer likely to win, they abandoned him too.
I agree, the white evangelical vote is the only way Trump was ever able to win the first time, and even with his MAGA base, he has no chance in hell of winning without the Bible thumper vote. And those people always follow what their church leaders tell them about who to vote for...
