Very interesting presentation. We Taoists have our zealots, as well, and they're just as goofy. While placing furniture in a certain direction is harmless the mental process which drives one to do it is harmful. Chi flows from the comfort of interactive postures so furniture facing each other around a circle is the most productive. The mental process tells us a lot about calling religion something else, like tradition or respect for indoctrination, but acting in the same vein. I call it coddling religion because its only a denial of membership.
