LINK Putin and the Presidents: Julia Ioffe (interview) | FRONTLINE

She paints an interesting POV, by Putin, gained by the incompetence of Jr43. The man who looked into Putin's eyes and totally missed the significance of that cross. That fire made Putin a Holy Rolling zealot and god is on his side. He just doesn't say it. Nor can I say that this POV about America is wrong. I think both sides came out of bad neighborhoods and didn't get much therapy. This is playing out in our shared illusion to highlight Jr's Iraq Crusade and remind us of Lao Tzu's admonition to carefully weigh our actions. They will bring Yin/Yang cycles of reaction. That's what I get out of the whole affair.

We all know how incompetent republican presidents have become. Who else would give a major dictator a silly child type name, Putti-put, as 'W' himself. We thought this pos was bad the the last one was a real POS and put bush to shame.

Bill Clinton was also highly incompetent. NAFTA was horrendous (not to mention lying to a Grand Jury and trusting an intern to not be a spy) but Dems are still defending him. Yes, Jr43 and 45 were awful but whom did Holder prosecute for the theft of our Treasury funds? Much of them went to Goldman-Sachs for Paulson's effort to eliminate Lehman Bros. I think humans are just more enamored of ourselves than is good for a species.

@rainmanjr In my mind Clinton was a so-so president. He didn't hold a candle to Reagan and Bush jr and tRump makes him look like a saint.

@jackjr Much as I hate 45 he didn't screw an intern behind The Resolute. RR and Jr43 were both even more horrendous than BC, Jr murdered over 1,500 civilians, but none did our nation any good. We are now living with the repercussions of their pathetic "service."

@jackjr All Republicans suck.

@rainmanjr Would you have a president screw one of his staff or the country?

@jackjr Neither, ideally

@rainmanjr Ideally, what kind of boring world that would be. Here we seem disgusted at a staff member servicing a president and take him to court and then, later, a president gets away with paying off a porn star (and not to mention all the other women who have accused him of sexual abuse).

@jackjr Directly attributable to our view of female utility, certainly among CEO Dictators who think we are here to please them.

The Frontline show on Putin was very well done.
