LINK 'Anti-woke' education wars and democratic schools

it is becoming apparent that we don’t agree: about who we are, what we value, and what we want our kids to learn.

I no longer have any connection to education and will not see the product being manufactured in our schools so don't really care. It's a well written article, however, so I'm sharing it for those who do care.

The purpose of education should be to help educate kids ways that help them navigate their future lives not spread propaganda from groups of whom education was lost.

It has always been used for childcare and indoctrination.

@rainmanjr Not always. My late partner taught for an international school and it was about education. There are some places education is done as it should be.

@jackjr Key word is “international.”

@rainmanjr Actually it was because it was in a poorer section of Seattle and a lot of students were Chinese or Latinos. It was once claimed in the Seattle School District there were over 150 languages being spoken. Think about how much it would cost to assimilate so many languages.
