States are Democratic, the Federal Government is not in many many ways. Electoral College, 66% vote required, to amend the Constitution, 66% to impeach and separatly to remove from office, 66%required for many actions. None of that is Democratic.

It is not unusual for books and politicians to refer to us as a Democracy. The Democratic Republic name is an attempt to insert Democracy, but it does not exist.

I gave several examples of how we are not a Democracy at the Federal Level.

Now US is shipping oil and gas to Europe for 4 times the cost, won't be able to keep that up and complete with the East. Russia is not hurt at all , now switching over to Africa, China and India which give great expansion in a shorter distance to the East and watch the west collapses in their own greed, hate and most horrible doubling their profits wealthy so called businessmen leaders.
