The problem being that school budgets are already cut to the bone, so any school police force will be organized on the cheap, and so you get situations like Uvalde TX where there was no actual plan in place and with no actual training for a mass shooting, and it disregards the fact that a school police force isn't a deterrent because mass shooters don't exactly plan to survive their shooting spree.
If we are ever to have any sort of "school police" they should come out of our regular police force which would also train them. They would then be assigned to local schools daily.
That makes too much sense for the far right to over consider it...
