Yeah, the last few years Maher has often been off track and his jokes have been hit and miss. However,this time he seems to have hit the mark.

Homosexuality in the Palestinian territories is considered a taboo subject; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people experience persecution.

It's a big thing in the LGBT community to free Palestine. Even my daughter wanted to go over there and protest in Gaza. I told her, it was a bad idea.

@Jolanta In many Middle Eastern Muslim countries homosexuals aren't just persecuted they are put to death.

Also in a few African christain countries, LGBT death penalty. I oppose death penalties, period.

@Castlepaloma Yeah, U.S. based churches have gone to Africa and influenced their laws inflicting the death penalty for homosexuality. I think a big draw of U.S. Christian churches bringing them to Africa is the lack of available education and lack of internet access for them to get rational information.

Even in US churches in about every state have camps or programs converting homosexauls to straight. It's a faiure, because only 1 or 2% are converted straight. Nature is my Religion and same sex is natural in most species. Religions have no human rights or biological rights to imprisonment or murder nature laws and acts of same sex relationship in nature.
