LINK Harris tops Trump by 2 points in national Fox News survey -- The Hill

Vice President Harris leads former President Trump by 2 points in the latest national poll released by Fox News.

Harris received 50 percent of support nationally in the poll, published Wednesday, compared to Trump’s 48 percent support. That marked a 3-point change from early August, when the former president held a 1-point advantage over the Democratic nominee, 50 percent to 49 percent.

The latest survey also marked the first time Harris has reached the 50 percent support threshold.

Fox News’s pollsters noted the largest change since last month comes from independent and Hispanic voters.

Trump maintained a 51 percent to 43 percent lead among independent voters in the August poll, but they now supported Harris 51 percent to 39 percent. Hispanic voters similarly backed the GOP nominee 52 percent to 46 percent last month but now backed Harris 55 percent to Trump’s 43 percent.

The former president, however, led Harris in the key battleground states, which are more consequential to determining the outcome of the 2024 election than the national popular vote.

In the combined battleground states — Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — Trump led the vice president 50 percent to 48 percent, according to the poll.

In The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s national polling average, Harris is ahead 49.7 percent to Trump’s 46.1 percent.

The poll was conducted Sept. 13-16 among 1,102 registered voters nationally, including 876 likely voters. The margin of error is 3 percentage points for results based on both the full sample and the subsample of likely voters.

Trump is now targeting his rhetoric to the conservative SCOTUS judges. Guess why...

As most Fox News polls are polling mostly Fox News viewers, who are mostly conservatives, this does not look good for Trump.
