When is the USA going to wake up and do what most Americans want and install universal healthcare? It should not be up to God botherers what medical procedures you receive.

Government forcing religion to follow it's atheist beliefs is not separation of church and state

My area is being inundated with the Catholic hospital group 'Peace Health.' Even the county seat at Friday Harbor has a new large hospital that is a branch of Peace Health. As these hospitals refuse services more local politicians are successfully forcing them to change the way they work.
Several years ago a friend's husband (who was in the late stages of Parkinson's) fell and ruptured his bowel. He didn't know it until it got infected and was helicoptered off to a large city to the north (Bellingham). When his wife arrived she found he had had surgery and was put in a medicated coma. His wife told the hospital he had a no resuscitation order and said she would remove him if they did not comply. She also found the hospital was planning on installing a colostomy bag after he healed from the bowel. This for a person who could barely walk. They complied and he slowly died (which he wanted).

If your religion is going to hinder your ability to do your job, you should not be in that job. It’s obvious that these medical professionals have been using this as an excuse to control other people’s choices for far too long.
