I often post on FB about how delusional I find religion to be. I have so many friends and family that "have faith" that get super bent about it. I'm not saying they are bad people... they're just delusional. When people say they will "pray for me", it makes me so fucking mad because that means they will literally do nothing but talk to themselves in their head instead of actually doing something to help. Its always, "my thoughts and prayers are with you". My eyes can't roll back far enough.
I hate posting anything on Facebook because I always get people on my back about posting controversial things and am warned that people who do job interviews will look on Facebook and see if you’re worth hiring. I don’t think the latter is false, I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve been fired or haven’t been hired because of a Facebook (only because I’ve only been in remedial jobs where it’s kind of low quality, nothing that makes a lot of money from high and respectable people). Personally I see Facebook as one of those places that’s meant to be private, nothing that goes on on Facebook should influence how you see a person unless they act the same in both real life and social media. I have a sibling who is like that.
I'm the same exact way. I'm very hated on news articles due to my response to the "thoughts and prayers" police on Facebook.
It makes them feel better about themselves. Just remember that.
