there is no proof of any god, and believers know this. none of them are 100% sure. if they can make you believe, it makes them feel more sure of their baseless beliefs. its a self gratification thing and has nothing to do with saving you.

The only reason to brainwash someone is to control them that is the sole purpose of it. It's a lot of work to brainwash someone properly, you don't want to waste all that effort and get nothing in return.

This is how I see it ,all of Charles Manson's followers are now devout Christians.

Mostly they are evil, even if well intention ed. It is a case where the path to hell is paved with good intentions. Even if we on this site don't believe in hell, the statement still conveys its intended meaning.
