I don’t think it will ever succeed unfortunately as countries like North Korea and Radical Islamic countries like Iran or Pakistan will never agree to it.

I think it is very important to ban the right of possession of nuclear weapons by those who have progressive or islamic orientations

I don't think any country has the power to deny another from having one when using it is a lose/lose position to resort to using one. Plus, it's a powerful bargaining chip. Like gun control it depends on who has the weapon and why they want it.
