One of my co-workers is a Muslim. He's a really good co-worker and he's cool. He is currently fasting during Ramadan. Which means that he can't eat from sun up to sun down. I don't see the benefits of fasting and not eating. It doesn't seem healthy to me. What is your opinion?
Fasting is a discipline, showing your obedience. There are health benefits to short periods of fasting but the purpose for Islam is the obedience part.
Sun up till sundown? That’s not hard. I thought they couldn’t eat for 40 days and 40 nights or something.
Fasting is good. Out gets you're body back on track to eat when hungry instead of just stuffing ones face whenever foods available
Well... I could miss a meal or two...lol. but not to honor a profit or proclaimed god.
I hear ya and agree 100%.
