Hi everyone. I just need to vent. I’m a Type 1 diabetic with a pancreas that quit working, celiac, and Hashimotos. The past two weeks my hair started falling out in huge handfuls in the shower. It’s gone from being really thick to thin in such a short amount of time. I really hope it’s not alopecia, another immune disorder. I see my doctor this week. I’m really worried.

Sorry to hear it and hope something can be figured out. Medications are always suspect in my book...

Thanks. The update since I posted this is that my hair grew back after drinking collagen powder. It tasted awful but it worked.

@Sydland Wow, never heard of it, but willing to try myself as my hair has been thinning for years and I really dislike the look.

@itsmedammit Here’s what I got. It tastes awful but works really well. It also helped my mom and my brother.

yeah i got that 2nd prize 12 yrs after diabetes kicked in but as a male at least i kind of expected to go bald at some point good luck

Thyroid problems can cause hair loss, I hope it's just your Hashimoto's.
