Same here! They thought I had lymphedema. Turns out no so it must be my EDS. Do you where compression hose? And do you know what causes the swelling, no one can answer that for me. They gave me diuretics which don t work. So sorry! And screw those who question your handicapped parking!
It's a theory that by standing a long time (or at all in my case) puts strain on the tendons and so they inflame to keep the joint from being too loose because the swelling helps stabilize the joint and also helps you realize the tendons are unhappy.
The dystonia is just bizarre though and can happen any time without any notice
My physical therapist ordered me some compression socks that are really good but idk where they came from. I mostly use then for taekwando because I need the extra support when kicking. However I still get spasms though I think they're less extreme when wearing them.
I also use diclofenac gel on any inflamed places because it's an extreme anti-inflammatory that doesn't hurt your tummy. Just a little on any swelling and it helps a lot
@LadyAlyxandrea Thanks for the feedback. I need to wear my stockings more often. I hate them in the summer!
