My short term memory is so bad. I put like 4 coats of deodorant on in the morning because I forget whether or not I've put it on. I constantly forget to take my lunch to work or take my lunch box home after work. I forget my wallet at least once a week. I forget my phone at least once a month. I forget if I had just taken my medicine.
What do you guys do to help your memory?
I set the alarm on my phone for the times of the day that I need to remember to do something.
I have done that lmao you know what happens?
-alarm-
Okay I'll get that done in just a minute
-literally an actual minute or less later-
-forgets-
@LadyAlyxandrea I do too! I’ve trained myself not to keep hitting the snooze.
I actually write myself a little nuts on the palm of my hand
Okay yeah that word was supposed to be notes
Post it notes. Put one on the steering column as a reminder for lunch and phone. Take it off while you drive - put it back before you leave the car to work. It will be there to remind you again.
I tend to do this with the bathroom mirror if it's something out of the usual.
I'm a big fan of Habitica which is a gamified task manager with both desktop and mobile app versions. Basically, it turns task managing and remembering into a role-playing game. It's also the most comprehensive and flexible task manager I have found.
My big problem was remembering meds. Now taking morning and evening meds are among my daily tasks or "Dailies." I've only forgotten a handful of times as a result.
I'll check it out
