My wife was misdiagnosed with MS a few years back. She was 60, asymptomatic but had a plaque pattern on consistant with, but not exclusive to MS. They started he on an MS drug right away. I later learned the there is no medical therapy that will assist with MS after 15 years. Given her age, one would assume she had it for decades. After a significant fall in January, she was hospitalized, had Hopital Aquired Delerium ( HAD) which scared the he'll out of me because I had no idea what is be coming home with. She couldn't Renner her age, who the president was (I know, everyone on staff wanted to know the neural pathway that was blocking that memory). We have triplets, she could remember two of their days but not the third. She never got their birth order right but, she always remembered me and that I was her husband and her Social security number. During her hospital stay, the neurologist found evidence of four old Transient Ischemic Attacks (microstrokes) and three new ones. She was sent to a rehab facility where the HAD pretty much dissipated. she came home for a week and had to go back with three new bleeds. The next week they did a crainiotomy on her to test for Central Nervous System (CNS) Vasculitis. It was negative. About a month later, the neurologists decided it was CNS Vasculitis and the played around with different drug cocktails with 2 infusions of Rutuxinab. She was readmitted for an overnight stay after a delirious episode and they discovered she had a new TIA at the base of her spinal column. They've now added an antirejection drug usedon transplant patients. Have any of you had experience with that? I guess I could have started off with the question and left off the rest. Sorry.
