I am SO livid.

For a few weeks I've been having horrific facial flushing like ON FIRE feeling.

I've been struggling with sleep.

My angina came back for the first time since I was 18.

My nerve pain is 40-60% worse than ever.

And I found out today it's ALL BECAUSE my stupid doctor put me on a statin.

Apparently statins can cause increased muscle pain (angina), nerve damage (cause I don't have plenty of that already), flushing, sleep disturbances

Literally everything that's been happening.

I'm so mad. Why would he put me on this MONSTROUS AGONIZING HELL!?

Iโ€™m so sorry.
I went last summer to the ER because my blood pressure had been > 180/120 for hours, in spite of meds. The PA came in and says๐Ÿ˜Ÿpatronizingly) Oh honey, donโ€™t check your BP at home, it just worries you.

I told him that was the stupidest fucking thing I ever heard including during my 21 years as an RN.

I wonder if they just trying to kill us, too.

Probably. Ugh it's so frustrating.

Side effects?! FFS.

Yup. He'll have to find an alternate. That's a problem I had and it didn't even occur to me it was your problem. (Not without a full med list anyway). lol

I just found out my Dr didn't order a repeat Urine test - he doesn't want to find out if I have a UTI or Kidney infection. Isn't that the most bizarre thing ever? The test he ordered was for my Diabetes not to see if I have an infection? I actually called him a nasty name when I spoke to the visiting nurse on the phone and she didn't scold me in the least. She sounded a bit peeved with him herself.

I have to switch Drs - it's getting to the new one that's a cost issue. Sigh. I think he's trying to kill me so he doesn't have to deal with me? He said to stop testing my glucose? I don't need to. Just eat when I get too low.
So wait til' I pass out huh? I mean.... We have the technology now?

Sorry must be complaint night. It's a bad day here - I went in for an appointment - got annoyed - thought I got results and found out today nothing got ordered properly. I'm hoping he gets kidney stones. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And no pain meds.?

That sounds a lot like he's trying to get extra money from billing your insurance for unnecessary tests. I'd maybe mention it to someone. Whistleblow...

It sucks that your doc is a dumbass. I don't think mine is intentionally sabotaging me, but idk. I just emailed him about how horrifyingly terrible these side effects are and that I do not want any more statins. I'll lower my cholesterol the old fashion way.

I have to keep a close watch on my heart. CHF runs through my family, I was on the phen-fin medicine for a while until it gave me tachycardia, I have EDS, and I'm diabetic. It's not exactly optimal conditions so when he wanted to start me on a cholesterol medicine I was all for it. Anything to help.

But these chest pains are ridiculous and the pain in my nerves is UNBEARABLE. I hope I can sleep tonight and without any terrors.

Gosh here I was blaming the epilepsy medicine for all this crap and it turns out it was my heart medicine

@LadyAlyxandrea I had some crazy side effects from Statins - I'm still not positive I should be on the one I'm on - but it doesn't seem to cause anything near what you are talking about.
But it was the third one I tried that was ok for me to take.
