I LIVE
almost home now. I'm on a lot of meds so feeling pretty okay my calves are sore AF and my stomach was really painful until the drugs kicked in.
I'm pretty good though I got some nugs and my mom is helping me get around. Since I haven't SLEPT since yesterday I'm gonna hit the hay after I get home so I'll post more later! ?
Yay! ??? Fast results.
You might get pockets of air tomorrow morning when you wake so don't freak. I had them in my shoulders when I woke after abdominal surgery.
Depends on how well they got the air out.
Cuddle a pet and relax. ? ? You made it! ?????
How do you know if you have pockets of air?
@bingst Oh I woke up with tremendous pain in my shoulders - I didn't want to sit up - I had to - but I didn't want to. My rotator cuffs caught and held the air that had escaped removal from my abdomen. (I had multiple abdominal surgeries and only experienced that the first time - might have been the Doctor wasn't that skilled).
Thankfully a friend was at the house and able to get me to a seated position. I think I'd have had to roll to get upright? I couldn't use my arms at that very moment.
Some people get it in the sternum but that's less likely. (Near the diaphragm I think?).
When you don't know what it is - it's way worse.
@bingst Oh it's a known possibility with laproscopic surgery. They inflate you to visualize the field better.
I watch a surgery online before I had mine. Probably my first online video in fact? ?
I think the Dr mentioned it - but I remember being surprised by the severity.
I mean post surgery - morning after abdomen wasn't fun? But my shoulders got my attention in spades.
I remember thinking "Maybe I can swallow a Percocet laying down and wait 20 minutes to pee?" . rofl
