The drunk flying hopper.
This guy (or gal) was flying straight for my head at about 20mph (32kph). It veered away at the last second, crashed into a rain barrel then smashed into the side of the house and ended up here.
S/he was pulled over for flying endangerment and was given a time-out to recuperate what brain-power s/he had left. Am I personifying this grasshopper?
I can't imagine hitting this thing while riding my bike. I'd be found on the side of the road with a huge crater and splatter on my forehead.
Other options: Eat them!

@Insectra I want you to know that I did look through a lot of pictures of grasshoppers, I found a two-striped one and I found this helpful article on processing grasshoppers as a food source!
