I voted yesterday, voted Liberal for the first time in my life. It's not that I am a fan of Trudeau but I do see that this pandemic will likely get much worse before it gets much better and of the choices, Liberal is the best of an incompetent lot. Conservatives will doom so many to an early grave if left to run with the ball and the NDP won't win, in either case we need a majority government that is able to make tough decisions that are on the horizon.
I like a minority government for the most part, it allows good policies to be put into place over a lengthy period of time as the minority players jockey for position but this is not the time for slow decisions but rather it requires the ability to be decisive and I think that is why Trudeau called this election. Either give his government the ability to take the necessary steps or let the Conservatives have a chance and watch the body count rise on their watch.
