Hello. I am fairly new to the site and have not fully explored it and I saw the Canadian group. I am in Toronto. Moved here from New York City in early 2005.in a job transfer. I have stayed here as I like it and like Canadians. My wife (ex) is Canadian from Kingston, ON.

apart from the construction and renovations, I enjoy the NY subway. Easy to go from one place to another real fast.
The NY subways are now safer than ever. It used to be scary in the 1980s but that changed. There is no more graffiti on the trains. I was in a few incidents on the subways in the 80s. A year ago I went to NY with my daughter. We took the trains constantly and never saw anything funky going on. It was full of people even at 3am. The NY population has increased by quite a bit. The more people there are, the subways get safer. It used to be scary in the old days riding an empty trains with these dudes making believe they were asleep but they weren't. No more of that.
Always nice to meet another Canadian, welcome and enjoy.

I hate Donald Trump and I am not alone in this. Also hate the religious groups that support him though he has yet to visit the church or any church on Sunday.
It is my hope I can make some friends here from both genders. I am very isolated where I live since I barely know any people in Canada. My daughter (17) is Canadian although she was born in New York. We have a very good relationship and I try to be close to her as much as possible.
So I hope to hear from you soon. Please forgive me if I take a while to respond. My computer is used to record music and I am always practicing. I am old but I am in good shape for my age.

I am a proud, honorary Canadian. I love the country, its people, for the most part and world view. When I am a bit better off economically I will attempt to get my Canadian citizenship. I look forward to that. People take for granted what they have, that is until it is taken from you. I believe we have to work toward protecting the liberties that we have or we can lose it. Just look at what is happening to our neighbor south of the border. I will not be returning to America for a long time. I go and visit as I have my son, 2 brothers, and 4 nephews not to mention my friends.
