Any of you hear about this new law? .02 is legal for a commercial pilot here. .08 for a vehicle. Im at .04 because i have a class A.
The only change in the law is that they can ask for a breath sample if they have stopped you for another reason, say texting or burnt out brake light. They still have to have a valid reason. Before, they could only ask for a breath sample if they had grounds for an impaired offense, say, wearing a lampshade while driving the wrong way and singing a rude song.
So it's kinda like in the US where you can get a ticket for not wearing a seat belt, but in Nebraska that is a secondary offense. Can't get pulled over for that. Iowa you can. How many Mounties do you think will enforce this? In the US they can give you a breath test and a sobriety test for any reason. Refuse? Same or worse than getting a DUI.
