Canada Fires- Why Was A Back Burn Planned But The Local Residents NOT Informed? Interview.

Firefighters were told to "stand down..." while residents of Canada's Celista, BC near Shuswap are in awe. They all knew by Tuesday August 15th that 30km winds were coming. Why did firefighters light a back burn knowing the winds would carry it to that residential area, but not inform those residents? My guest today is Stef and Jorne. That fire came right to their back steps but firefighters refused to help saying they were to told to "stand down." My guest feels that they are trying to starve the citizens out so they can "let it all burn." Quite often, there is misinformation that is posted and spread. Wildfires are complex and this year they are happening across the world. Climate change is an important driving factor. I feel the firefighters are doing their best, it is just that the problem is at a global scale and requires fundamental solutions to reconfigure the way the economy functions.

open your eyes the ones lighting the fires want to believe climate change is man made, but it has changed since the beginning of the this planet. tell me what is the largest contributor of CO2 on this planet.....
@1patriot Yes, its true that climate is an ever changing phenomenon but the pace at which it has changed over a very short period (geologically speaking) has led to a near consensus amongst most if not all of the climate scientists around that world that human activities have a very significant role in causing such rapid climate change.
@bharats that's the part that's a lie.....all of man on earth contribute to 6% of the CO2 per year... do you know what is the largest contributor to CO2.....the Oceans after that it's volcano's than all the season planets die and regrow every year..... all of those make up the the other 94% of CO2
