I opted to skip playing the lotto. I do play every once in a great while, but as the odds of winning are only 1 in 300,000,000 and the cost of a ticket is $2, I only play when the jackpots are more than $600,000,000 because I insists on a "true odds" payout. Meaning the prize has to equal the odds of winning. The risk has to match the potential benefits.
@snytiger6 I have been given lotto tickets as a "gift". My true opinion of the gift was left unsaid. I don't waste my own money on lottery tickets.
