So has anyone tried any of the humanist meetups that appear occasionally? I've thought about it but haven't done it yet.
I have a few friends who are members of the Ethical Humanist Society that meets in Skokie and they have nothing but nice things to say about it. I haven't made it there yet.
If you’re talking about the 2 unrelated but very overlapping freethinkers groups on Meetup, I’ve gone a few times. It’s usually a good group. A few irrational eccentrics with some wild theories from time time, but what group doesn’t have those.
I keep thinking I’ll go again, but it’s always a Monday or Tuesday night around 7 in the Loop. And I just feel too drained after work to hang out in the Loop for a few more hours.
I'm not familiar with this, so no I have never gone.
Well maybe at some point we should take a look around.
I've been to the Ethical Humanist Society Of Chicago in Skokie a few times. Sometimes there's a speaker, other times music. Always felt welcome.

Posted by MeggieClearyIf any of you like loose-leaf teas, I wonder whether you’ve tried Chicago’s own Tiesta Tea.
