Yeah, somewhat. Liberalism is part of a web of ideas, but in the USA, liberalism is the same thing as Democratic Socialism, and they can even be further to the left than that. The Democratic Party mainly establishes itself under the premises of leftism, which in the US entails collectivist social liberalism (which is pretty shit), marxian economics, etc.

Liberals just occupy a sub-bloc in the Democratic Party's voting bloc, they're not the superset.

@DZhukovin I disagree with your interpretation. That’s like saying all conservatives are republicans. It is simply not the case. Also, liberalism contains democratic socialism, it does not equate to it.

Sort of. I am basing my view off of textbooks and other primary references on political theory. I don't know of any technocratic sources on political theory, but I know that academia is basically the only place to learn about belief systems.

So when someone wants to understand a political belief, they should look up the history of that belief, and look at the figureheads that publish or formulate that belief. From there, the person just reads on the subject matter more.

From reading the book "How to Read" by Mortimer J. Adler & Charles Van Doren, apparently, there are about six ways a person can read a book.

Globalism is getting reduced back into its proper power. Now, we are in the age of real culture and diversity. Rejoice, because now we are harder to manipulate as a populous, and can be free from the dishonesty and chicanery of politicians.

The Democratic Party basically split during Clinton over NAFTA into a neoliberal and a liberal faction. The Democratic Party rejected Bernie Sanders and has kept that course and is now neoliberal and not liberal.

Therefore poor people like myself whom the party has given up on have turned to Donald Trump who will do what he can to cut medical costs and bring back jobs. But given the power of Congress it is hard to see how anyone is going to get anything done, but it's a lot nicer to be listened to than ignored.
