I'm sure they sponsor climate denial, yet fully understand the danger. It seems their plan is to stop social services and let people die off; thus, reducing carbon use. Fewer people, less pollution. Besides, people are dangerous, for example during the French Revolution, the King & family, Lords & family, Government officials & family were executed by guillotine. They will do anything to prevent that happening again.
