This might be the greatest piece of music that you've never heard before by the greatest composer whose name you don't know. Akira Ifukube made his living on film scores, and wrote some outstanding concert pieces. His symphonic ode "Gotama the Buddha" is sheer brilliance. The female chorus in the middle of the second movement is sublime.
