An owl named Rachel. A girl at work collects owls. Was hoping to see terrapin babies this afternoon. Made this for Rachel's birthday present. From scraps around my bench. It's her 30th and having a hard time dealing with being OLD.

Late last summer this lady laid eggs near my work bench outside. She is covering them back up in the pic. Spray painted a circle around it and haven't seen the ground disturbed since. Hoping for babies soon

See her? I'll soon have baby bunnies in the garden again! She has a lovely home under my threadleaf maple in the front yard. :)

I got stung by a bee Yesterday! Spring is finally here! Felt bad about bothering the little critter enough to make it sting me. Had a yellow bandana on and a light blue shirt. It probably was trying to check out the giant ugly flower when it landed ...

I’ve been eating at this little greasy spoon for many years.. the food is consistently comforting, the waitresses are always sweet. It’s one of those hole in the wall places that feels like home.. And, pancakes. Pancakes are always good.

The lesser celandine (Ficaria verna) is in bloom, Ave the trout lily (Erythronium americanum) is almost there! More beautiful signs of spring (and the much anticipated opening of trout season)!

@AmiSue: you're posting beautiful flowers and I'm super excited that the skunk cabbage is starting to grow, LOL. (It is pretty in its own way.... Just don't break the stems!!). Skunk cabbage is just another anticipated sign of Spring.

Ah, the name of the group is a bit deceiving and I am pleasantly suprised. The description fits my needs perfectly. I am an aspiring forager, mycologist, traveler and photographer. I'll be glad to absorb your knowledge and add a bit of my own here ...

One of our first wildflowers to bloom in PA! This is coltsfoot, so named because its leaves are reminiscent of the undersides of young horse feet. So bright and cheerful! I always look forward to seeing this flower pop up in the Spring.

Flowers in my parents backyard.. My pops can’t hear well, so the tv volume is crazy loud, I can’t take it. So I sit out back with the flowers and get centered.
