What breed is specks? He looks smart. ?
He is a she and she is a rescue that someone dumped out in the country. She ended up at a neighbour that didn't want her so I took he home. She came out with my collies every morning as I fed the cows hay, it is their job to keep the cows back out of the feed until I am done and to prevent escapes out the gate as I make up to 5 trips into and out of the pen with the tractor. On the third day of Specks doing this and watching from the gate I suddenly saw the wheels in her head click and out she went to do the job, yes she is definitely smart.
She was pretty badly damaged by her previous owners, she was beaten with a broom by a women and forced to total submission by a man and likely often went hunger, but she landed on her feet here.
As for her breed she is, as near as I can tell, blue heeler crossed with a leopard Catahola, but I am guessing.
Posted by FernappleI went for a walk in the woods today, and on a tiny oak tree, I found this wonderful cluster of, so called, Oak Apples.
