I don’t get lonely, except for my son.
I don’t get hungry, except for this place..
I don’t need much, which is good because I don’t have much.
But I have the sea and the sky.
I have my family, my memories, and my determination to keep appreciating.
Today, I paid attention to the sand crabs beneath the surface of the wet shore, tickling my toes.
I get to feel that.
I sat on the sand with a friend that I’ve known and loved for over 30 years.
We got to laugh and reminisce.
I kissed my mom this afternoon, and wished her a happy birthday.
We broke bread together and talked about family.
I smelled lemon blossoms.
I sat in traffic and didn’t mind one bit.
I just existed in neutral and now I’m back home.
It was a day like any other day, and I lived it.
Posted by FernappleI went for a walk in the woods today, and on a tiny oak tree, I found this wonderful cluster of, so called, Oak Apples.

Posted by sc62Day trip to the lake last weekend. I spent most of an afternoon next to this lily patch. It was such a nice, refreshing mini retreat.
