Feeling a bit down today that I'm not at Governors Ball this weekend and tickets for my favorite band are at $1250!
But driving the county to jobs today I took note of several promising clumps of raspberry vines I keep a small tangle growing but my love for berries is notorious.
I'll be foraging soon!!
Pinched a bit to add to my tangle.
I am very curious, raspberry plants here don't grow as vines, they grow as canes. Are the ones there different?
@AmiSue Eight foot canes? Apparently you live in a tropical paradise, here big canes reach 3.5 feet. We do how ever have the much smaller wild variety growing in the woodlands; they are much smaller, produce smaller less abundant berries but boy are they tasty. Good luck with your jungle variety.
Posted by FernappleI went for a walk in the woods today, and on a tiny oak tree, I found this wonderful cluster of, so called, Oak Apples.

Posted by sc62Day trip to the lake last weekend. I spent most of an afternoon next to this lily patch. It was such a nice, refreshing mini retreat.
