Waiting for persimmons to bloom. I got two persimmon trees in the park where I run. They. Had persimmons last year. Been keeping and eye on them to see what the blooms will look like.

The lesser celandine (Ficaria verna) is in bloom, Ave the trout lily (Erythronium americanum) is almost there! More beautiful signs of spring (and the much anticipated opening of trout season)!

I’ve been eating at this little greasy spoon for many years.. the food is consistently comforting, the waitresses are always sweet. It’s one of those hole in the wall places that feels like home.. And, pancakes. Pancakes are always good.
