areneus juniperi .... an orb spider. this is my Googled guess. interesting looking critter. it may be on its eighth leg. doesn't seem to be very energetic.

The lesser celandine (Ficaria verna) is in bloom, Ave the trout lily (Erythronium americanum) is almost there! More beautiful signs of spring (and the much anticipated opening of trout season)!
