At least 97 Protestant churches across South Carolina have closed since 2011, according to data from the Lutheran, Presbyterian, United Methodist and Southern Baptist denominations. An untold number of other closings, certainly, are not captured by these statistics.
A very interesting and surprising article indeed, although I can't say I didn't see this kind of thing coming.
Itβd be nice to have something communal replace . My personal choice would be a weekly smoke fest, brisket barbecue to bowls full of buds. Everyone coming to the middle to hang together for camaraderie and fun as opposed to guilty consciences.
I'd call that a good start, let's hope they pick up the pace. I'm not sure what will replace religion, maybe humanism but anything has to be better than this, short of fascism.
Okay. You got Numbers of the New Built? Relocation?
