Myself and late wife raised our daughter to be a gamer. She plays and collects various non-historical games involving miniatures such as Warhammer 40k, fantasy role playing - mostly D&D. Online roleplaying and many PS4 games. Has anyone else raised a gamer?
yep, used to play AD&D back in the 80s. have given all my hand painted figures, books, manuals, floor plans etc. to my youngest who is now 30 and he has been a live monster in Chislehurst caves before joining a Viking enactment group. My eldest is more into martial arts.
Not directly... but hoping to pass it on to my nieces and nephew.
Unfortunately no. I was more a PC gamer, and while my daughter still plays around with maybe a Star Wars title or Minecraft (her husband's hobby on X-box), I can't get her to game with me anymore. We do have a D&D group at the VFW post here, but only 1 girl in the bunch (late 20's?)...other 4-5 are guys 20+ to late 40s.
