Has anyone seen the Steve Avery documentory, Making a Murderer? It is full of suspense. The evidence does not prove guilt and he and his nephew remain in prison.
I have watched both parts. It was quite compelling. I also was living in Wisconsin when that notorious press release was made. I recall having been shocked and disgusted by the details. Now I am shocked and disgusted that that was the result of a false confession and probably has no truth to it.
While I am certain that there has been much left out of the series, I see enough indication that things were mishandled. From what I can see, I am certain that Brendan was absolutely manipulated and used to help secure the conviction of Steven. I am ashamed that this sort of thing still goes on in our country.
There are many people who point out that Steven was not a nice guy in general and more or less imply that he deserves to be locked up. Those idiots apparently are willing to let a murderer remain at large and are unconcerned about the damage to the justice system this case has wrought.
