Loved Hitchhikers Guide.....Deep Thought and Marvin the depressed robot, Zaphod Beeblebrox and of course Ford Prefect, Snotty Fartblaster.... all great names. Dirk Gently and his Holistic Detective Agency was equally as good. When I received the news of his passing I was quite sad and I remember thinking the world would be a poorer place without him and his quirky take on it all.
The BBC series, Dirk Gently and the Holistic Detective Agency (on Hulu), is like watching a love letter to Douglas Adams. It was different than the books, but the 'spirit' of Dirk Gently was there. Too bad it was cancelled after only two seasons.
Really disappointed it had such a short run.

Posted by LB67I was out with a friend driving to a store, when I started describing Dirk Gently’s method of following a vehicle that looks like it knows where it’s going.
Posted by wowspringDr. Who lost episode episode, "Shanda" written by Douglas Adams on BBC America July 19. I don't know if this has already been posted but this is exciting news worth repeating: [nerdvanamedia.com]
