Bluegrass has a special place in my heart. The year I retired from USDA, my wife for christmas got us tickets to the first RiverCity Bluegrass Festival. Held in early January. Came home for the festival knowing that I wanted to play music with others. Started with a Fender Standard Jazz Base, and a Hall Leonard Bass book, and amp. A couple of months later, talking with friends after church, we decided that we ought to make some music. In the early day, we played a lot of bluegrass. We have a Sunday Afternoon Session, in the social hall of the church. It is a Unitarian Universalist church and is agnostic, atheist, humanist friendly.
