I had leg day on Sunday. A new routine full of squats and lunges. I was sore yesterday , and now I’m really sore today. It’s running day. Do I ignore the soreness and go anyway, or let the soreness pass first?
I did leg day Thursday. I'm always sore the most 3 days after. I drink a lot of water and eat a lot of vegetables.
I think it depends on the 'type' of soreness....some soreness is good (general muscle soreness from a new routine) and some is bad (a strain/pull/tear). If it is just the former, I tend to keep going. But if it is the latter I would 'baby' it and rest....alternate cold and heat. Depending on how often you work out, sometimes the body just needs some recovery time too.

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
