Hey all! I'm getting back into fitness again seriously after having my child and then some tragic and chaotic life stuff happen. I'm looking to track my progress so here's some starting pics. Running has always been my nemesis so I'm working to finally master it. First I'll work on my mile time, then 3 mile. Look forward to sharing motivation with you all! 🙂

Went back to look at your other posts in this group. I say this as a positive and in the context of muscular development and strength: you ARE a freak! You look like this as you're just starting back into working out AND after having a kid?!? Your genetics make me so jealous! 🙂 ps. do what you want but not a big fan of running if you're a serious lifter. Way too much pounding on the lower body and spine and there are dozens of other ways for fat control/cardio health.

Nice glutes. How long did it take to get them that way?

Good question, for me it's hard to say. Reason being is I was in the Marines for 5 years and worked out a lot. But then took a lot of time off (A few years or so?) Because of school, kid, etc. Though it was more like I worked out on and off not just pure sedentary. I just started working out seriously again a few months ago. I'm trying to build to a much heavier squat. My deadlift is 185 lbs. and squat (Ass to grass) is 95.

@livetodiscover I want my glutes to look nice too. It's hard. I first started out wanting a nice butt. Then in the process my quadriceps got huge as well as my glutes.

@Sarahroo29 yeah I'm looking for overall bigger development with my legs but glutes especially.

@livetodiscover I'm not giving up.

@livetodiscover I have short legs compared to my torso.

Good luck. Try HIIT, it works better.

@iamjc yeah high intensity interval training. I use that to increase speed by sprinting and it's great for weight loss. I'm not looking for weight loss right now but use it for other purposes.

@iamjc Yes, high-intensity interval training. Combine that with strength work and your fitness will take care of itself.
