Hello, I'm a Utah transplant. I grew up in a predominantly mormon community and was not mormon. It was an experience i wouldnt wish on my worst enemy at times. Believe it or not im now grateful because it allowed me to find out the truth about religion for myself and to question everything and find my selfworth outside the religious doctorine. Im so happy to be on the other side of the Zion curtain and would love to hear and discuss experiences with you.
I'm newly non-Mormon but still live in Utah. Just moved into a new neighborhood that is predominantly Mormon and I've been baffled by the neighbors. I've been wondering what I could possibly have done to make people treat me like I might sell their children off as slaves. I didn't realize it was so bad. I hope I wasn't that bad as a member but I did have some really terrible issues that I'm leaving behind so I can't claim any moral superiority.
