Stating that being alive is a gift is subjective.It depends on many factors such as one’s physical and mental condition from birth or the environment in which you live .

@Robecology I agree if one could be Richard Dawkins and possess his incredible intellect and be in his place it would indeed be a gift ,but on the other hand what about the billions of unfortunate people no one would wish to be in their place .( his quote specifies HIS place)

@richiegtt point taken. Sometimes I'm saddened that it's all downhill from here...and I think about Euthanasia; or at least painless ending it...
