But he lost me entirely when he knocked pain meds. Sometimes they are needed.
Deciding the pain isn't hurting you so you are ok? Ooh that is some woo.
I was running the list of meds. with him and I think I took every single one of those at some point in time. I mean wow. And none worked (for me).
Maybe suggestions for others though.

I agree on the pain meds with you. My mother and I couldn't live without them. However for less afflicted people, alternatives might be a good idea.
@LadyAlyxandrea I agree. There is a point though at which you are torturing people.
And I hate that because it's all by word of mouth - how does a Doctor assess that?
I've been there with chronic pain patients who were also mentally ill. They are treated terribly by the system.
No one actually does the brain scans that show the pain. Except for researchers.
(And show me a person with chronic intractable pain who isn't depressed.).
Severe Catch-22. But I'm whining. I'll stop now. (Rainy days do me in!).
