Florida Primary Day "Liveblog?"!

I voted early in the Democratic Primary and I live in the 6th Congressional District--our house seat is being vacated by Ron DeSantis in order to run for Governor against Putnam and some other guy whose name I forget. I felt we had a very good slate for both our Gubernatorial choice and our US House choice. I do not know if my choices will prevail tonight, but I will definitely support whoever emerges in November.

Maybe if she'd claimed Rick Scott abducted her, she'd be getting more votes.
Well, well, well...interesting battle shaping up on the Dem side between Gwen Graham and Andrew Gillum! I have to say I can support either one of these candidates in the general. Graham is the consensus establishment pick. If Gillum wins that will help turnout in November for sure and "Souls to the Polls".

On the R side I have to LOL (through gritted teeth) that Ron DeSantis' being so far up Trump's butt that only his feet and ankles protrude almost instantly lifted him 30 percentage points over Putnam, the establishment pick. Remember Putnam? He's the one that made people who were opposed to his NRA stance protest Publix giving him massive donations. Sorry Publix. You should have used that money to improve your produce selection, expand your selection of Florida craft beer, and add more good whole bean coffees to your aisles instead.

Unfortunately, his opponent is one of the most milquetoast, do next to nothing D Senators around. I think he will likely win that Senate seat even though he is directly responsible for how bad the Red Tide is on the Gulf side due to his horrible environmental policies.
@seaspot_run I have to agree with you on this.
@kltuckmn I do think that Gillum winning the Gov D primary will help Nelson, though, if only through osmosis.
@seaspot_run I hope so. Nelson is mostly useless but I’ve had more than enough of bullethead, destroyer of our environment and Medicare fraudster.
