I feel your pain…
As the Army National Guard descends upon Los Angeles, we're entering the next stage of our fall from grace where the president feels entitled to violently quell peaceful protesters ... I expect he's quite irritated about the national protests scheduled for his birthday on June 14th and is setting the stage for what he will do to us if we dare resist him. I think if anything Simon Marks was generous in his assessment.

Can the rot be stopped…and reversed?
@Marionville As long as Americans value entertainment over education, I don’t think so. The anti intellectuals are in control and putting on a performance that has enchanted us. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
@CrazySkeptic It’s like watching a reality show on TV…in fact Trump has turned the White House into a reality show TV set…and the whole USA like a giant outside broadcast venue for the show!

@Marionville, @CrazySkeptic An empire where the elite compete in decadence. Usually preceding the demise. But humanity will emerge with a new way, which is bound to decline with time. We aim for utopia but are yet to come close to achieving it.
@puff The planet will survive our madness but we won’t. It will renew and regenerate itself after we’ve destroyed our environment and made life unsustainable for all but the hardiest & adaptable organisms.
