I hope this is okay to post. I would really love feedback on a cover I did. I want to be able to sing in front of people. I feel getting some opinions may help me. Thanks in advance. Here's two separate links.

I've been hosting an open mic for just over threes years, including running the sound.
We get some pretty amazing talent showing up at open mics in Long Beach. One evening a friend who records and tours for Sony in South America stopped by and did two songs. I mentioned that to someone who had been in the audience and she asked which performer it was. I said, "You tell me." She replied that it could have been any one of half a dozen people.
I'm giving you that background so you will know where I am coming from.
In my experience, singers who are unsure of themselves tend to use vocal reverb as a crutch. I know I used to. I don't encourage that for live performances, and tend to run my mixes at the open mic dry. Once a singer really learns how to sing without reverb, it might be ok to add it back in, but only in a very measured amount.
I would very much like to hear this with no vocal reverb. You have the voice to pull it off, and without the reverb to rely on, I believe you would give an even more soulful rendition.
Great job. Keep up the good work.
P.S. If you are ever in the Long Beach area on a Wednesday night you are more than welcome at my open mic.
This was pleasure to my ears, you have a lovely voice. Please post more.
Well done seductive version of the original. Depending on the venue, you will likely have a feedback problem singing live with that much decay on the reverb. You have a pro voice. Now you need a pro approach and pro confidence. For the pro approach and confidence try this golden rule. An amateur will prepare until they get it right but a pro will prepare until they will never get it wrong. This work ethic will provide you with rock solid confidence to let your voice connect directly to your heart. Then you can concentrate on other emotive aspects of performance like body language, vocal and band dynamics, and connection with your audience. Best of luck and let your light shine!
Love the tonality and the slight growl in your voice. Pitch is spot on. I would not be afraid to take that to any audience!
Recording-wise, I'd dial back the depth of the reverb just a skosh.
Bright future in my opinion! Loved it.
Lovely! No need for nerves regarding performing publicly. I like the texture of your voice as well as the accuracy of the notes. I have a similar vocal fry on occasion, and when I want to eliminate it, I sing with more breath behind each note, esp at the end of phrases. You might experiment with that to see whether you like the smoother sound. Keep it in, and as @Markus noted, you could do Janis. I bet you could do Bonnie Raitt songs justice.
Lovely voice I liked it but.....
This song has power. The original led to the other side of the Darwin awards. It led to Screaming Jay Hawkins. Fathering over 170 kids (conservative est.). I got the love you had but not the power over someone else. I noticed that you did not emphasize the second syllable of "be-CAUSE your mine". Have you never felt this?
Not advocating control but this is what the song is about. "I put a spell on you ..........be CAUSE YOUR MINE"
