We just put in an offer on our first equestrian property! Well it is not equestrian yet. There is a barn but no stalls and no fencing. It sits on 12 acres, 8 of which is usable. So exciting!

We are beginners we have to figure out fencing hight, sturdiness etc. Any recommendations on where to find that info?
@AlexRam everyone will have an opinion on fencing. Most people go with 4' (some do 5' ). Then it depends on the look you want, the area of the country (GA. correct?) And resources available.
Split rail is popular in many places, pipe fencing (either split rail or with mesh wire) is big in OK & TX, wood posts with 2x4 mesh wire is popular in VA. and then there is always electric wire.
Tractor Supply or a farm store would be the best place to get answers (not a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot).
